These reviews were written on other review sites (BitList, kycnot.me, Monerica), not on BitMixList. We show their text here so you can read them in one place; each one links to the original. My first time buying NonKYC bitcoin. I used BisqEasy app and everything went fine. However one seller took 6h to respond with payment info and then 24h to check if the funds were received although the payment was instant. This is not an issue of the platform, but the seller was explaining those delays in their trade terms, which are not shown on the mobile BisqEasy app.

Also monero is not a first party coin, which is bad in my opinion because I was looking for monero.

I used Bisq 2 (Bisq Easy via mobile)

This was my first time getting no-KYC Bitcoin and using a P2P exchange. The app is easy to use, and the trust protocol seems reasonable. Mediation/mediators are responsive. Some users are responsive, others may use bots/automation to interact with their transaction messaging which can be problematic. I recommend to be ready to go with payment, as some traders have strict deadlines before closing out trades.

Does work and provide what is says, but monero is not a first party coin, only bitcoin is. This means you cannot directly convert fiat and monero, you must do fiat to bitcoin and bitcoin to monero which involves higher fees.

As kycnot.me says:
"Bitcoin: It’s the initial spark of the decentralized money. A solid project with a strong community. It is the most well-known and widespread cryptocurrency.

Monero: If you’re looking for digital cash that’s truly private, Monero is it. It’s designed for privacy, works like real cash (fungible), has low fees, and is supported by a dedicated, long-standing community."

Monero is the future of anonymous internet cash, improving upon what bitcoin started in many ways. There are far more services that let you use it as currency today than bitcoin because of this.

great system and exchange. the implementation/app/user experience is lacking a good bit, and it's slow as molasses. trading there takes commitment and time the app really needs an overhaul, which they are doing with BISQ2. developement generally also pretty slow.
i hope they dont get exploited anymore, it hit hard and broke some trust.
im rooting for BISQ, 5 stars for being a true working P2P exchange, it's sort of a north star, 1 star detracted for the bad app+recent security issues.

Good for privacy, albeit slow. Good option if you have few methods of obtaining crypto (especially cash-by-mail with instructions)

Bisq 1
Excellent service—I’ve been using it for many years. Yes, there are occasional minor technical issues, but they’re very rare—about once every 2–3 years. I just want to thank the creators for being there.

Events in Iran have shown that we need such services. Having both a full node option and a lightweight remote control could really open things up for everyday use without big privacy compromises. I wonder how the trusted node setup will play out for folks wanting simplicity.

works fine for trustless exchange if you only have bitcoin, have made many exchanges and never had a problem.

on my PC the interface has quite a bit of lag and feels very heavy compared to retoswap, so I tend to use that instead.

I think the concept is great, but the app is incredibly sluggish. It's basically useless like this.

I exchanged once only with bisq2 platform, and had no issues. However, looking at the support chat, I noticed 2 issues I wish to highlight:

1. Multiple sellers use bots to process their transactions, resulting in delayed exchanges when bots stop working properly and the seller is not immediately available (as it is often the case of sellers using bots). This is known to Bisq and apparently tolerated.

2. I have been offered to exchange outside the formal process, reported it, and the Bisq support took no action against the seller. They simply say "It is up to you to decide if you want to take that risk". I personally think it should not be tolerated.

On top of all that, I found this article that highlights various risks related to Bisq that may potentially lower their score.

P2P platforms work a bit slowly, but if confidentiality is important to you, this is an excellent solution.

Probably the best and most privacy-focused platform I've used so far. It's a bit tricky to understand at first, but it's worth it. I hope more users start using it to improve liquidity.

P2P Exchange. Works very good, however for security reasons you need to be patient.

In Bisq, funds are locked in a 2-of-2 multisig Bitcoin escrow smart contract, and escrow only activates if there is a dispute.

The golden standard for decentralized trading. From regular people to other regular people, just as Satoshi intended. Bisq is the perfect way to sell your BTC for FIAT without any KYC and at similar rates as CEXs. It can take a couple of hours to get comfortable with it but once you have everything set up, it becomes easy and convenient to perform trades. Bisq is for people who actually care about privacy and understand that privacy always has a convenience price. Bisq also supports p2p trading of monero <-> btc and in my experience the rates are generally better than those of instant exchanges. Highly recommended.

Bisq is a nice idea, but the Java implementation is hell. And there aren't many offers for a reasonable price as well.
